Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Program FAQ

Program Length and Schedule

Duration: 5 weeks, 3 days a week

  • Tuesdays, Wednesdays (open Lab), and Thursdays
  • 9 AM to 5 PM

Application and Fees

  • Application Fee: $35.00 (non-refundable)
  • Regular Tuition: $1,613.00
  • Discounted Tuition: $850.00
  • Payment Plan Available:
    • $200.00 + $35.00 application fee (nonrefundable) due at registration
    • $325.00 due on the 1st day of class
    • $325.00 due on the 3rd week of class

Program Requirements

  • TB skin test
  • Two forms of ID
  • Covid-19 Vaccine (required for clinicals)

State License Exam Information

  • Exam Fee: $130.00 (direct payment to the State)
  • Registration is done online with provided instructions
  • The exam consists of two parts:
    • Written
    • Skills
  • You can attempt the exam up to three times. If not passed by the third attempt, retaking the CNA class is mandated by the state.
  • If only one part of the exam is failed, only the failed part needs to be retaken.
  • Retake fees:
    • Written - $35.00
    • Skills - $95.00

State Exam Location

The exam can be taken at Mentee College if at least five students sign up and if a state tester is available. Alternatively, students can take the exam at a regional test center.
